O....kay....
So someone finally posted a video of ToriFlash. For the curious people, here's one of the projects I've worked on under Hampa- 'cept I'm not the sole programmer anymore, apparently there's been some changes.
For instance, the arms seems alot more flexible now(which means, alot more prone to glitches), and there's a score submission at the end of the game(awesome!)
Everyone, ToriFlash below (could have been more interesting though...)

Saturday was my first EOY, the ultimate anime event of the year in Singapore. Thanks to my ex-bunk mate by the nickname of downPES, I was introduced to this little fan made wonder simply known as EOY08.
Being an EOY virgin, I didn't really know what to expect. I mean, people selling douginshi? 100% self-published? I've always thought something like that only happens in Japan(a.k.a Comiket). It's almost like a dream come true; you see, as an indie game developer(who has yet done anything worth mentioning), I've always envy the Japanese doujin circles to be able to establish themselves so well and setting up booths in various conventions.
I guess I've been living under a rock all these years, after all, Singapore has EOY =D. Someday I'm gonna go set up a booth with Jon and spread Ignite's name.

As much as I am keen to start out as an independent developer, I am also constantly doubting if this is the path I ought to be taking. After all, not a single soul I know seems willing to walk the path of an indie. Some wanted more experience(which is an opinion I totally respect), while others are more practical(stable income).
I have even been told that no one dares to think like me or that I should be doing real stuff instead of Flash or no one will hire me. Pretty discouraging, I must admit. I'm not saying that everyone should share my opinion but, seriously, what happened to everyone's dream of creating their very own game?
=(
I feel like I'm alone on this one.

It was Teachers' Day. As if continuing with the tradition of the previous years, I saw more teachers I couldn't recognize and less familiar faces. Time flies.
My Chinese teacher Ms Phan still looked as sunny as ever, Mrs Song is pregnant with her 3rd child (OmiGosh AgaIn?!), and Ms Mazna looked.. er, wiser.
We talked lots with Ms Mazna, discussing about Wei Liang's ambition to be a teacher, Hui Yong's decision to be a researcher, my future as a "software programmer" (I couldn't bring myself to say game developer since I doubted Ms Mazna's understanding of the game industry... but apparently she had listened to the PM's speech XD).
I wonder how would next year's Teachers' Day be like?

OVERDRIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! Thanks Gab, Rock Band is teh roxxor.
I can't believe I spent the whole day doing up my personal homepage and setting up another blog... darn! I still need to work on FreeRunning and White Angel!
That said, here's the links:

Gee, I found one of my old blog entry: (forgive me for my bad English, back then I wrote the same way I speak - and quite frankly, it's not even English, it's Singlish)
Year 2004
=============================================
let's see..... topic for today..
***FUTURE*** (thank wl)
Every now and then, i would be daydreaming about my future, seeing myself draw comics, designing games blahblahblah.
yup, I want to be a cartoonist in the future, a successful one too, for that matter. I also want to be a freelance game designer, designing games like little fighter 2, or, if my knowledge allows it, a game like half life or metroid or even resident evil!
That's the reason why i want to take on media design (let's just hope that i can make it) in a poly.
I also want to take on manga lessons with wl in orchard..... but $$ is the problem here, sigh.........................
Gee, i talked so much and yet i'm doing nothing about it. no can do, i got to start drawing, or rather copying right away; i have to get myself into the mood of drawing, see?
Oh yeah, can i take a look at ur play when u finish writing it, sharon? i want to make a flash movie. if u're afraid that i'll drag the making of the movie, u can gimme a deadline.

(what about YOUR future?)
=============================================
Looks like things turned out a little differently XD.
For one, I ended up choosing DET, a programming course, over DMD. Successful cartoonist? How about a successful hobbyist(ain't happening... yet)?
Most of it turned out the same however, I still want to design a great game and I still want to draw comics. Furthermore, I did made a flash movie. Too bad it got blammed to the graveyard in a matter of minutes when I published it on newgrounds.
3 years down the road and I am still talking about dreams and ambitions. I guess somethings never change.
